It’s the time of year when Lake Arrowhead residents are taking advantage of the beautiful weather as they begin projects around the home.The 15th Annual Mountain Home Improvement Expo, in partnership with the Association of Building Contractors and the Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce is just around the corner! If you are looking for a Roofing Contractor, Home Loan or Refinance Help, Landscaper, Realtor, Plumber or maybe you would like to find new ideas for your home; the Home Improvement Expo is the perfect event for you.

Booths will be scattered all around the Lake Arrowhead Village Peninsula located in the middle of great shopping, dining and entertainment. June plays host to wonderful summer events including The Lake Arrowhead Rotary Art and Wine Festival. You can enjoy fine art and wine at Lake Arrowheads Tavern Bay beach club at this community favorite event. There will be more than 80 artist exhibits including great wine and food. Hours are Saturday June 26th from 10am to 7pm, Sunday June 27 from 11am to 4pm. (Ticket Price: $5.00) Tickets are available at Betty’s General Store in Blue Jay, The Lake House in Cedar Glen & Vino 100 in Lake Arrowhead Village. Lake Arrowhead 4th of July Weekend Events

There are countless ways to celebrate 4^th of July in Lake Arrowhead. This annual event draws a huge crowd to Lake Arrowhead, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead for a great 4^th!

       Lake Arrowhead offers a spectacular fire works show, and great events all weekend long. Spectators from all over gather around the shoreline, at the Beach Clubs, Lake Arrowhead Village, on docks, at homes and in boats awaiting Lake Arrowhead’s biggest event of the year. Come early for best parking and viewing locations.

Below is a list of 4^th of July events in Lake Arrowhead.

Friday July 2, 2010: Lake Arrowhead Village presents family movie night. The movie “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” will begin at dusk.

Friday July 2, 2010: Lake Arrowhead Village Farmers Market. Certified produce vendors, Fresh bread, and unique Vendors From 4pm – 8pm

Saturday July 3, 2010: Summer Concert Series in Lake Arrowhead Village. Concerts start at 5:30 pm at Center Stage.

Saturday July 3, 2010: Join the fun at the annual Jamboree Days in Crestline! Enjoy the parade, street faire, and live music. The fun starts from 9am-6pm.

Sunday May 30 & Monday May 31 2010. Wildhaven Ranch “Memorial Day Barn Sale” Join Wildhaven Ranch in their annual “Memorial Day Barn Sale”. Proceeds go to support non profit. The barn sale will take place from 8:00am to 5:00pm. We can use in kind tax donations like furniture, art, pottery, antiques, electronics, kitchenware, etc. Wildlife tours both days at 1:00pm.for $10.00 per person. Monday May 31 2010. Mountain Top Hiking Club “Walk around Lake Gregory”. Lake Gregory Walk every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 9am. Informal walk around the lake with no hike leader. Show up at the South Shore parking lot on San Moritz Drive near the start of the trail a little before 9am for a slow to moderate walk around the lake.

It’s no surprise the Lake Arrowhead Film Festival is making its way to town once again to celebrate another year of film and entertainment. This Film Festival draws a large crowd of film buffs from all around the world. The 11th Annual Lake Arrowhead Film Festival titled “Film, Television and Beyond”, will be staged April 22-25 at the beautiful Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. Prices for admission to festival events range from $10 for specific blocks of films to an all-access platinum pass for $160 which includes all events (with the exception of the Friday night gala.) The Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is also providing a special weekend packages start at $394 include room, movie passes, and $50 resort credit.

The Lake Arrowhead Country Club will play host to a very special event Sunday, April 18^{th beginning} at 3pm to benefit Rim Education Foundation’s Fashion with Jazz fundraiser.  This fashion extravaganza will highlight collections and designs from Boutiques including; Private Quarters, Seasons, Sondra’s, Studio Boutique and other Local Shoppe’s. Brand names, designer names and various custom-designed outfits will also be featured. Local Lake Arrowhead Area models are scheduled to star in the show with makeup and hair styles done by the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa.  Guest’s will begin the afternoon with cocktails, appetizers, and shopping from various local vendors while listening to the smooth jazz styling’s of Steve Nieto.  Attendees will then enjoy a delicious cuisine presented by Lake Arrowhead Country Club’s executive chef, Tom Mannion. Dinner will be held in the elegant Summit dining room overlooking the golf course. A host of other party activities will make the Fashion with Jazz fundraiser a must attend event. All proceeds from this fundraiser benefit the Rim of the World Unified School District.  To date, over $300,000 has been awarded by the Rim Education Foundation to the school district’s teachers and staff for programs enhancing the students’ education.  Lake Arrowhead Area Locals are encouraged to take part in this worthy local cause. Advance purchase of tickets is recommended due to limited seating.
